I’ve been to a few places in the USA. Wyoming, south Dakota, north Dakota, Minnesota, Nevada, Florida.
I’m from Canada but have never been passed Toronto. Have been all the way west.

I’ve been to either 2 or 3, depending on how you count it, including the one I live in. That’s Canada, and I have visited both the USA and El Salvador.

Japan, United States and New Zealand. If I had money I’d travel a bit. Visiting other countries is a cool experience if you get out among the locals.

Never been out of the states but thanks to this country’s immigration and exchange students I’ve met people from around the world.

I’ve been to the Cherokee Indian Reservation in Cherokee NC.

I’ve been to Singapore and Indonesia.

I have been all over the world. Places like Djibouti and Iraq that weren’t much to see and all over Asia and Europe and the Middle East. Been to South America and Australia too. I have been to Cuba too. The Navy has a base there. I got held hostage in Egypt. Beautiful water in Cuba. I could go on and on. You see a lot of the world with 20 years in the Marine Corps. I did 5 deployments on Navy ships for 6 months or longer so I have literally been around the world more than twice.

No where recently though except in the US. I am going to Kansas City, Missouri next month. Went to Atlanta and Orlando the last two months. All for work. No play.

It’s a long story.

I was a last minute add to the flight schedule when we were leaving Egypt. We were on our way to Iraq. Egypt has Communist Soviet Block type leadership and no one can make decisions except for at the top.

The base we were flying to didn’t get the notification we were added to the flight schedule and wasn’t expecting us. When I landed the tower asked me to come up. I was the section leader. I wasn’t about to shut down my helicopters in Egypt when the ship was leaving for Iraq and risk getting stuck there so we left the birds spinning and me and the other aircraft commander went to the tower to see what they wanted. We weee all strapping 9!mm pistols.

They said the base commander wanted to see us. They had to push start their truck to take us to the base commanders office. He was telling us about air defense and how they almost shot us down. He made us sit with him for about 30 minutes watching Egyptian MTV and drinking tea that tasted like dirty dishwater. He was asking us about flying F16s. After about a half an hour he let us leave and go back to the ship.
