My hair is in a bob and the front part is just under my chin. The back is short.
I am trying to get enough length at the back as there is at the front for hair extensions. Does anyone know how long it will take to get considerable length on my hair ?
I’ve posted a couple of selfies on here before incase anyone has seen. It’s not a pixie cut. Just a bob. Right now my fringe is also growing.
I’m at the hairdressers today but I’m telling her to only cut off split ends. That way my hair will continue to grow as fast as it possibly can.

I never really understood the idea behind cutting split ends for faster hair growth? The hair grows out from the head end not out from the other end of the hairs. I guess it must have some other benefit
I used to cut my hair to my chin every two years. By the end of two years, it had grown to halfway down my back and I could donate it. Now, I keep it short all the time.
I never went in to trim my split ends, and it didn’t change how fast my hair grew.
Mane and tail shampoo and conditioner is really good stuff, expensive but really good, also don’t use heat on your hair, no blow drying or straighteners.
Spoke with hairdresser today, she said just need to focus on the back of my hair which should take 3 months and then I could get extensions. It’s more of an expensive way of doing it though.
If I’m lucky perhaps 10 weeks. Just keep trimming the split ends. My fringe is to the point it can be clipped back and not at the annoying in my eyes look which is good.
Im growing out my hair too. Last year January it was jaw length bob and now just over a year later it is shoulder length. I can just start wearing a short plait. Hopefully within a year it will be nicer longer plait. Looking forward to it. The plait is the only really nice long-hair style for me. I would have liked short hair pixie style but my husband wants me to grow my hair, so I am wearing it in a plait and growing the plait longer.
I think it takes about a year to grow 12cms (don’t know how much that is in inches). My hair grows about 1cm a month or so.
That’s what I did. My hair was falling out all over the bathroom floor when I brushed it. My long hair was getting noticeably thinner and thinner. So, I shaved it all off into a buzz cut. I wore that for a liberating two or three years. I loved it. But, I got a lot of complaints from my son and my ex husband. So, I grew it out into a pixie cut. Everyone loves it this way. Including me.
