There isn’t a recovery for something like porn addiction imo unless you are getting it irl

Go and live in a cave.

Hmm lots of threads pertaining to porn lately… I do watch a healthy amount of porn (let’s say 2 hours a week) and usually cheesy videos ie there is some kissing and cuddling too, not just raw intercourse and genitalia close ups…
Why would I want to stop watching that? It doesn’t interfere with my life - I have very low libido anyway, so no chances of getting a real girlfriend for the time being. I find it helps me fall asleep too, if I watch it at bed time.

Replace bad behavior with positive…you want to get down then do some push ups. Buy some cheap weights and do something positive.

Masturbation isn’t bad. Porn helps that no end …but too much is a problem for some…

The problem person…How much masturbation is too much?

The person in control of themselves…How much…? it’s every chance I get!

Basically, it takes discipline, self control, and willpower. When you abstain (from masturbation) the body begins working more efficiently. This is why in many sports such as combat sports, people abstain for some time. It is partly why Connor McGregor got gassed out. Anyway, the medications for many mental illness can cause excessive masturbation as well as premature ejaculation. The body tries to expunge what is not normally found. At heavy doses it causes impotency which makes people more prone to watching pornography due to the difficulty to be aroused.

Discipline and alternative activities but if you are low functioning you lack both.

It’s that lack of motivation side effect at the cost of lessening other symptoms of the illness.

have you ever just tried waiting until an erection sets in for itself… and then just let it pass… even just lieing in bed with it for 20 minutes.

It might not be the porn you’re addicted to so much but the orgasm and the behavior that is borderline compulsive that precedes it.

You gotta ween yourself off. But just letting a woody come and pass is an experiment that you can try today.

Porn and orgasm saturate an individuals sex drive… when having a an ongoing sex drive and triggerability is actually healthier for oneself and even one’s personality.

It’s more a focus on maintaining lust as the predominant factor of sexual interest instead of orgasm or relief… and learning to enjoy it’s there.

The difference is a more warm and naturalistic feeling without implications aside form self awareness of desire… versus the twang of what is called “restless genital syndrome” which sits interrelated to hypersexuality and hypersexual focus.

You gotta take a break from seeing sex as a need in life. The genitals aren’t meant to get off every time they are signalling… they’re meant to communicate you and tie you into your environment comfortably… but the only way to do that appropriately is to subtract that sex itself is important at all.

It’s just your junk talking back to you like some sort of estranged emotional center.

While I didnt have porn addiiction I really wanted to lower my Libido for personal reasons. I found the herb Vitex very helpful in lowering my Libido… Problem is it takes about 3 months for it to start to effect you. But it has helped me greatly in stopping desire to masturbate. that might help you cut down with the porn watching. VITEX aka Chaste Tree / Chaste Berry it works

Don’t click on porn links, don’t go to porn websites, don’t buy porn magazines or movies.

I know this sounds weird… porn or not… if i dont masturbate… my symptoms come back… i know… weird right…

there was a period of time where after I made a difficult decision to stop porn/masterbation it seemed to make my symptoms worse. I did a experiement called “no fap” just google it, it’s basically people who help one another to stop watching porn and masterbating and allowing their minds to heal just as a drug addict would.

it’s been almost 2 years since I watched porn and masturbated and I know it has helped me psychologically, physically, and emotionally. I might still deal with schizophrenia but I always feel good knowing I have conquered porn etc.
