How do you feel about "supermodels"? Sexiest women alive?

Oh ■■■■.

Don’t get me started on America’s Next Top Model.

I freaking can’t stand Tyra Banks.

Could go on about her for too long.

The closest thing to supermodel Tyra Banks ever got was sitting next to Janice Dickinson for a few seasons of ANTM.

I like curves on women.

They have to be thin. It makes the clothes unattainable. So you have to buy it and all the beauty accessories to try make up for not being stick thin and 6 ft tall.
Sorry - i hate when i criticize society when one of my goals is to integrate a little back in.

And Bella Hadid and her sister

I could be wrong, but I think the industry put some stricter worker protections in place specifically to prevent those cruel working conditions. Fashion tastes have also swayed towards more realistic body types recently.

Honestly I don’t find Supermodels that sexy.
I prefer curvier women.

I find the women in Playboy magazine to be sexier

Why don’t I like Tyra Banks?

  1. She takes credit for a lot more than she is due.

  2. She mocks the women that paved the way for her to become a model.

  3. Both her shows got cancelled because she’s a raging ■■■■■.

  4. After putting those poor girls though absolute hell on ANTM, she didn’t give the winners their money or promised contracts.

  5. I don’t think she’s that cute.

They come from an insanely wealthy family and have had tons of work.

Not saying other models haven’t had work.

But they definitely fall under the nepotism I mentioned being a problem.

I disagree.

Thin, unrealistic bodies will always be in fashion.

Making a point to use regular sized models brings attention to the model, not the clothes.

Some everyday “Old Navy” type brands have been more inclusive,

But that’s not the point of high fashion.

That’s why the clothes are so expensive and they only come in sample sizes.

I wish regular body types were more normalized in the field, but I just don’t think they ever will be.

I think Georgia Chara is beautiful but a little too thin. That’s not body shaming is it?

No. They should not HAVE to be thin. And the clothes should NOT be unattainable. It’s this kind of thinking, by mostly male fashion designers, that created the legions of women and girls with eating disorders today.

I applaud the wide use of full sized, beautiful models in fashion catalogs nowadays. Its about time!

It’s a shame when they are not natural but have plastic surgery from head to toe but that’s been the norm many years.

Some have great surgeons so they look natural.

I guess the individuals aura is still there if it can be seen beyond the body.

I guess supermodels went out of existence along with the magazines they posed in…it’s all online now. So I guess that would be the instagram models you see everywhere. Only access is so available to everyone so this “job” so it’s kinda oversaturated I guess. Not just for the elite modeling agency’s to get spots on magazines and ads.

TL;dr.

Instagram models / influencers
