I’m still learning but I listen to soothing musics, meditate,singing calm me down sometimes, I put essential oil on my wrist and smell it, I focus on my senses (things I see, hear, can touch), I ask for a hug

Breathing exercises are excellent for this but you have to be consistent with them. An hour a day can make your emotions much more manageable. I noticed a huge difference.
