How do I get Siri to work on my MacBook Air?

I say 'Hey Siri" and nothing happens. I went to systems preferences and clicked on “Siri & spotlight” and toggled all the buttons to play Siri and went through the short set up process but she still won’t work. Anyone have any experience with this?

Doesn’t work on my MacBook. But my phone across the room answered.

Is the microphone :microphone: switched on in the settings?

I don’t know anything about apple though.

I did everything. Still not working. Siri appears on keyboard shortcuts or when I press microphone key at top. She won’t appear when I say “Hey Siri” though.

Time to hit the Apple store and ask the folks at the Genius Bar (do they still call it that? LOL).
