I really used to over react to children or dogs or anyone when it’s a matter of not knowing any better. The latest was the dog getting into the trash. For once I didn’t feel like punishing him. I think I’m finally getting it through my head that he doesn’t know he’s doing anything wrong. You have to teach them that some behaviors are wrong. Even if you can’t teach them that, I have long learned that punishing doesn’t help someone stop a certain behavior. It just makes for bad feelings.
