Hillbilly elegy is a really good film I think and wanted to recommend it to you.
It’s on Netflix.
I cried in the beginning.
Have you got any Netflix films to recommend?

Yeah I was wondering about that film.
Thanks @SacredNeigh7, I may check it out now.
You may appreciate this movie @Loke, it takes place in Appalachia
Thanks. I definitely might look into it. I saw the trailer and grandma definitely reminded me of some folks around here.
It looks really good and I love Glenn Close.
Also, my sister has worked with Amy Adams many times and says she’s super nice.
Makes me want to see it even more.
I’ll probably check it out some time this weekend.
I’ve been waiting on it to come out. It looks really interesting. I’m really interested in Appalachian “hillbilly” culture.
The grandmother in that show reminds me of people I know. I have an aunt named Bertie Lou (her real name) with the same hairstyle. They were spot on with the characters in this film. At least from what I saw in the trailer. If you want to learn about Appalachian culture watch this film. But also remember that we’re not all of us so hillbilly.
Yeah it may be too intense for me also.
Yeah i have family that live in the mountains here, mostly cousins i don’t know. I love the Foxfire books and I’ve watched documentaries on the subject over the years. I think it’s a beautiful part of our country, both the land and the people.
There is a attempted suicide in the movie which might be difficult to see and some may feel triggered by it.
Really good acting and really good film though and it made me cry and the characters etc
I’m watching it now, it’s a very good movie!
But yes very intense.
Right on!
I think Ron Howard is a great filmmaker.
Thank you everyone for bringing this film to my attention.
