Here we have two contrasting and contradicting articles on cholesterol. One saying a new drug is in trials as an injection once a year to lower cholesterol and stop heart attacks; and the other saying that even ‘bad’ lpl levels are not heart attack inducing in old people.

What about good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol (LDL)? Is that still a thing?

Yes, the new injection on trials aims to replace statins and go after the ldl bad cholesterol.
