@anon17132524 Six hours ago you wished me a happy birthday and then 11 kind people responded with the same. However, my birthday is 4/16.

Happy cake day! Cake day is the anniversary of when you joined the forum! It’s noted by a slice of cake next to your name. Birthdays show a whole cake next to your name.

Thank you all. There are so many of you. It really is heartening! I needed the support lately because I have been having a lack of interest in anything. One person on another thread about positive thinking ( @Imaillusion ) said it well, “I hope to get up in the morning and enjoy reading articles.” I hope for the same.
I will say I wish I knew everyone here who are so kind to me.

“Cake Day” refers to your forum anniversary (1 year for you today). “Birthday” refers to your…birthday.
Sorry for any confusion.
EDIT: I just noticed that @LED explained the difference between the two.
