Halftime: Eagles 24 - Chiefs 0

Don’t forget the horrible commercials. :tangerine::tangerine::tangerine:

They should take it back and give it to someone who makes actual music, like Bruce Springsteen or Neil Young. Read other comments on this thread.

I fell asleep during the halftime show and missed the second half.

Give the half-time show to some rock n’ rollers…Electric Light Orchestra…REM…hell, at this point I’d be happy with Huey Lewis and the News!

Imagine ELO opening the SuperBowl with this?..

I get that rap isn’t your thing, but the Pulitzer Prize isn’t about personal taste—it recognizes artistic impact. Kendrick’s music tells powerful stories, just like Springsteen and Neil Young do in their own way. Music evolves, and the fact that the Pulitzer honored him just shows that rap is just as complex and meaningful as any other genre.

But I understand people have their personal preferences. It just feels unfair to dismiss rap as “not music.”

I came close in predicting that the score would be Eagles 30 and Kansas City Chiefs would be 20 close but no cigar lol

Well said.

A similar genre to rap is punk. Both share a rebellious, anti-establishment attitude. The lyrics are often social commentary representing marginalized populations.

Yeah, I totally agree! Rap and punk both have that raw, rebellious energy and aren’t afraid to call out the system. They’re all about giving a voice to people who don’t always get heard. Different sounds, same spirit. :v:

I was surprised by the number of people who thought the halftime show was lame. I am not a fan of rap music in general, but I could appreciate the use of symbolism and imagery in the show, and the lyrics were very poetic and meaningful. It was an incredible show, and I’m now a fan of Kendrick Lamar
