My Medi-cal redetermination packet came in the mail more than a month ago and I was supposed to fill it out and mail it by May 5th. I called Medi-cal and the woman told me I was already approved for a year and I didn’t have to fill it out. I was approved before I even mailed it back.
I was reviewed for my eligibility for food stamps recently and the only thing that makes sense is Medi-cal must have looked at the answers on my food stamps form and decided I was eligible for Medi-cal still. Saved me the trouble of filling out a long form though.
