Is there such a thing as “good taste”? Most people would say it all depends on the person and that I’m being judgemental.

There are lot of good stuff but rare to find them. It will surprise you, excite you and engage you without any hype.

Taste is always changing by groups of people.
What is good taste today will be bad taste tomorrow or another group of person.
It’s subjective. Which is not a satisfying answer that’s why the question will essentially can never be answered.
It’s really just about preferences . I don’t really make art for it to be “good” most of the time, unless someone is commissioning me for an animal portrait, I just create whatever I feel. My favorites of my own art aren’t really good but I like the meaning behind them

It’s the same as saying is there good food and is there bad food. I think it just is in the eye of the beholder. We all are different, therefore different preferences too.
