Well one ear works. When I bought them they were $30 I meant to pick out the $10 ones but I misread the price tag and I said to the guy “these good headphones?” He says ya they’ll last 6 months till they break. I say “I’m notorious for breaking headphones…so I hope that you’re right…”. Well it has been like 3 weeks which is a lot for me…now 1 ear is broken, either that or I went deaf in my left ear. Dang it!!! Headphones y u break so easily?? I took good care of them too but dang they’re fragile!! Maybe they sell like ten packs of CHEAP headphones for like $30 online. That’d be right up my alley…
Buy Sony. They cost about $40 USD but last for years.
They are Sony. One time I had metal headphones. Those were the longest lasting ever. I might get those again.
I buy cheap and nasty last the same amount of time when they are all just one wire. Really good ones will take the impact but tend to be bulky.
So buy cheap if you use something like this.
Better headphones are like this.
I’m really surprised. We only use Sony headphones for our school broadcasting project as they have to take a real pounding from students. We have pairs that have been tortured for 2 years straight and are still working. Here’s what we use:
https://www.amazon.ca/Sony-DJ-MDR-V55-BR-Headphone/dp/B00J5HWJMQ/
The price has really shot up since we bought the 8 pairs we’re using! They used to be about $43 CDN.
I lost my pair that came with my iPod. So I bought a $1 pair from the dollar store. I got zapped a few times in the ear from static and wetness. Found my apple pair eventually.
I use these and I have never had a pair break. I just lose them sometimes. They’re inexpensive but not low quality.
I don’t have cool ones like that. Just earbuds. My piano I’m getting for my birthday comes with headphones like that but imagine they’re not too nice since the whole piano set is only $100 I looked it up and that includes the headphones. Maybe those will last…if I put it away properly and only use it for when making music.
@shutterbug I bought these headphones a couple days ago. They arrived today
It’s weird cuz when I bought them they were only $80!!!
Now it says like $130??? WTH??? That was like 4 days ago I bought them. But anyways I’m really happy, GREAT sound, and you can flip the ears up, because when I record my music I like to listen with only 1 ear in, so I can flip up the other ear to hear!!! They say its great for recording.
I always leave my headphones in a chair and then sit down on them, so I buy the $5.00 variety.
I usually push-wheel my chair around the room and inevitably run over the cord, which breaks them pretty fast
I got 3 pairs for like $20 a couple weeks ago and none of them have broke. I got these new ones for recording my music. It will be only used for that. So I got nice recording headphones
blue tooth wireless head sets are a life saver… when I was working I would often get the cord tangled on random crap and end up destroying the hell out of some headphones… until I got the Bluetooth ones…
I was worried they’d be annoying and fall out a lot but they stay in place when I exercise. When I’m on the road walking or jogging it is a little hard to hear traffic even when the volume is low.
Any headphones that come into my possession will be rendered useless with a day, regardless of the price paid.
The last pair of headphones my brother gave me.
When I put them down on my keyboard to go get a drink from the kitchen and came back, my cat had chewed one of the sides off.
Not sure why, but they only chew up the white ones.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes
Sennheiser HD 201 for quality/price ratio.
Prices can change in a hurry. I bought this for Princess Pixel last Christmas for $249.00 CDN including shipping:
Wouldn’t buy it for her now! A bit pricey, methinks.(Shipping is another $109.00, not shown.)
$109 for shipping? Might as well be a Prime member for $100 and get free shipping all year.
