Well, the economy has seen worse days. California has more environmental regulations and treatments and taxes for it’s gasoline which makes our gas prices the highest in the country.
I see, now it makes more sense to me. I had no idea why because I’ve never come across it before. Interesting how the economy is so different everywhere
People in California generally earn more money though. So it tends to even out, or worse considering Mississippi is the poorest state.
Yeah, maybe? The housing market is one of the highest priced in the U.S. and we have one of the largest homeless populations. We generally are taxed more and some other factors are our health care is expensive and so is food and transportation. I guess you could say if you’re poor in Mississippi it’s not a good place to live while if you’re wealthy in California it’s a great place to live. And from what I just read, at 13%, California has the highest poverty rate in the nation.
True, California would be a great place to live if you were rich, and Mississippi is probably tends to be a great place to live if you were poor. Mississippi does have the lowest amount of homelessness in the u.s. Houses are pretty dang cheap I hear lol
We pay more for petrol in the U.k. It’s currently £5.22 that’s $6.64 per gallon. Unfair
we pay 3.29 a gallon. oklahoma is cheap to live though.
I remember from my time there that it all seemed to balance out in the end. Might depend on where you live, I suppose. But driving on gravel roads got me worse MPG, and I had to drive at least 40 minutes to get to the closest store. Groceries were way more expensive, too, because there was no competition. I was paying $6 for a box of cheerios.
if you are rural you are going to pay more…I live in a small city where prices are pretty good…especially at walmart.
Yeah. I was SUPER rural.
I don’t have a car. Problem solved
supply and demand i guess. theres 40 million people in california the demand must me off the charts (fyi i know nothing about gas or business )
