For the Americans on here

I understand you have jello (or maybe jelly) as used in pb&j. But do you have jam? If so is this different to jello?

Yes, jam has more fruit in it, it’s like smashed fruit. Jelly is like gloppy juice, no solids in it. Jello is gelatin, its own dish not eaten on bread.

Grape jelly is going to be clear and gloppy
Grape jam might have seeds and bits of solid grape, can’t see through it
Grape jello is going to be served in jiggly cubes with whipped cream on top

Yup.

Jello is a brand of gelatin (a flavored powder) that you mix with boiling water and “set” with cold in the fridge.

The difference between jam and jelly?
The seeds from the fruit.

Jelly has no seeds.
Jam does.

Marmalade makes me sick.

Yes we have jam. I haven’t used it since childhood (or jelly or marmelade for which I had a love for) for some sad reason, but yes was had it and in some sense…what’s the difference? Last time I had someone crashing here he asked me what’s for breakfast and I said bagels and with his head in the fridge he asked but there’s no creme cheese and I said that’s because I don’t eat it, there’s butter.

I confess to being the worlds pickiest eater (maybe)

(there’;s always the alcoholics staple of an untoasted half bagel)

Of course we have jam, haven’t you heard this song…

It figures the American version sounds less healthy than the other.
