Firefox has been my browser of choice for over 20 years. I hope that 's not taken away from me.

Firefox is pretty dead already given its market share, I think most of its market share now is Linux users. Google keeps it alive to prevent themselves from having a monopoly in the browser market. Ladybird seems promising.

It’s close to Opera which is pretty bleak.

I have not used google in like 4 years. The whole reason I switched to firefox was to get away from google. I think most people who use firefox are on the same page.
