its finally over, my partner’s little sister’s birthday. she turned 10 yesterday. but my mother in law still treats her like she’s 4. then I again I don’t know any 4 year olds getting 40 a month for an allowance. she doesn’t do any chores. doesn’t take care of her dogs. but whatever kay and I spent over 150 dollars on her for her birthday. I don’t mind I love the kid and I just thought maybe since she’s ten, her mom will see her as a preteen not four.
anyway we slept in the tent for her birthday, it was kay and I plus the four kids. I was the last one awake since I fell asleep last which was surprising since I took my pills hours before hand. I think its because I had excessed amounts of caffeine and the ground was vey uncomfortable.
Good for you bet she enjoyed it, I once dated a gal who’s mother refused to accept she was all grown up. She was 30, what a pain be home by 10, call when you get there good grief. Sadly they never stop doing that.
I love the kid, and sometimes she does act her age and even older but her mom refuses to let her grow up. to be honest though her “mom” is technically her grandma. and she just may be the only grandchild she may ever get biologically from her sons. I love all her step grandchildren too, they just get treated different then her biological granddaughter.
My little niece gets treated that way sometimes because she is the only grandchild and her mother left when she was three. For about a year, we were all spoiling her to make up for the fact that her mom ditched her. Now, we are trying to be more firm with rules and food choices.
