Face-related visual search deficits in first-episode schizophrenia

ok, so, um well its basically, umm, what the hell did that say? I read it three times! good lord.

If I read it correctly, people with sz have trouble with facial recognition, and with recognition of facial expressions. This says it’s negatively correlated with negative symptoms which I guess would mean that people with negative symptoms do better at recognizing faces than people with positive symptoms. (Such a weird way to say it though)

Hmm… I have always had trouble recognizing people and I don’t read subtle emotion well. The lack of recognition almost approaches face blindness - but not quite.

One time the owner of a restaurant I frequent told me, “I make faces too.” Then he made some faces and I was thinking to myself, (Do I make faces?) I think maybe it’s because I smile often when I go there. Otherwise I have a flat expression on my face, like sleepy.
