I mostly have sugar free, and I don’t think diabetes is causes primarily by high sugar; rather obesity, smoking, lack of exercise, poor diet and genetics.
Some people who eat lots of fruit probably consume more sugar than me in a day; however sugar in fruit has a lower glycemic index and the sugar is contained in fiber.
My narcolepsy means energy drinks do jack for me on a bad day and make me feel semi normal for a bit on good days. They don’t really make me anxious or hyper unless I’ve already got something else going on, like I’m in a manic episode or psychotic.
