I think Japan has forbidden women to eat bananas in public.
But bananas are fine since you just bite on it and it’s over. However, having a candy in your mouth for more than 30 minutes is just weird

A chilling difference is that sausages are usually meat.
So do the vegan hotdogs carry similar castration vibes… they are modeled after the meat product.

I’m a vegan too. Even if I wasn’t, I would never eat a hot dog in public, on a date, or with guys. Have you seen those costco hotdogs?

Sausages and sausage shaped objects don’t bug me but things with more slimy textures do.

You’d have to ask the individual consumer. I know that people wanting to bite one another is not uncommon. Jesus dealt with it with the Eucharist.
I kept wanting to shut this thread down but I could see all the avatars of folks who were in the process of replying.
