I think psychosis doesn’t just end it there’s a it Blends into your real life as you become more and more realistic you let go of it slowly
That’s great! Doing something progressive is always good.
You are on the right path.
Try to enjoy your time with your mother and friends.
I gained about 30kg from the drugs but I’ll start exercising soon.
I recommend you start exercising or dancing again. I understand, there is a lot of shame when one isn’t happy with their body. But you are young, I don’t think anyone cares.
I’m 40!
It’s floating, yes.
After my first psychotic episode it was a change between being manic and psychosis.
It calmed down over the years and came back with a big hit, so i’m trying to regenerate again.
Struggling with it for about 30 years now
My last relapse took about a month to recover mostly.
I may have one week of psychosis
and then five days of normalcy
and then again psychosis etc.
For me, After psychosis occurred there was considerable time for me to be back to normal. Because there was co-morbidity issue of physical illness that was left to be solved by myself which took lot of time.
Once I resolved the physical illness there was improvement gradually and now I am on a recovery path towards some goal that I am redefining every day according to my performance.
One sad thing about this illness is it is lifelong. We need to be always dependent on the medicines or therapy or loved ones who support us to be able to be in touch with reality. Once we have few episodes, there needs to be a support somehow.
Don’t get bogged down. Each one’s story is different. You may need much less time to overcome. But, there is always scope for improvement. And need to follow the therapy plan and medication suggested by doctor which works for you.
30 years and counting so far.
