Does anyone else here like downcast weather more than excessive sunlight or excessive rain? like where it gets a little darker outside, windy, like right before it rains? where it gets cooler outside.

I dunno if I have a preference but I like all three of them.

I like it if it is a little bit colder, I tend to like rainy days espacially if when you need to get outside the rain stops and you just breath in the fresh rainy smelling air. Or I like days like you said, it is bright but not so as summer.
And I am always thinking that the time the last two to three months of the year are my favourite time at all. Turning on the heat, letting the window open getting cold air having a white or grey sky and lie under the coverlet without sweating.

Yes very much so. I wanted to study meteorology in my teens. Perhaps now I can pick it back up now. It is exciting to watch them go by.
