My aunt made a living making lampshades from scratch and selling them at craft shows. I visited her once and she let me create my own lamp shade from basic materials.
Anyway, here’s my most sentimental lamp. It came out of my uncles office. My aunt gifted it to me when he passed in March.

That’s a nice one. The bulb looks a bit bright, have you tried different bulbs in it? It could change the ‘feeling’ in the room

Yes maybe I could try one less bright. This was the only one I came across, but maybe I didn’t really look at the store properly.
Home improvement stores frequently have different bulbs in display in their fan/lighting section.

I dislike the amount of space they take. I want to convert to Euro style corner lamps that provide light without eating up space.
