Yes I’m one of those people. Don’t get me wrong I do listen sometimes but other times I just want to be in peace and quiet.
I adjust my music to my mood.
If I want to be active I listen to dance music. If I want to be tranquil, I listen to meditation music etc…
Since you ask, maybe I don’t really like it because I always forget my mp4s are there to listen to
I like it in moderation. That’s why I find it great to listen to vinyl because a side usually lasts 25 minutes tops, then it automatically stops, so you get a natural break.
I listen to music sometimes if my stress is low and I’m feeling happy. Usually I prefer quiet. I know how you feel.

If I didn’t have music I would run around naked while screaming that I’m the Messiah.
Wouldn’t it be more fun to do that to music?

There’s working the ole noggin’, eh?!
I love music and its really important to me to have access to things I adore and new things I’ve never heard that interest me. That said I still have periods where I don’t listen to music, or where my favourite styles are too overwhelming for me.
I’ve been going through phases where I just don’t really enjoy listening to any music. I get annoyed by it sometimes, especially if I can find or associate it with cliches (music snob moment). I guess I just prefer music based on mood overall.
I get what you’re saying. Oftentimes peace and quiet is what I like more.
Now that I’m stable on meds I don’t listen to music that much anymore.
During my initial recovery, music was big for me.
It helped me deal with a lot of emotions.
I love music when I want to listen to it but hate it when other people force me to listen to theirs by blasting it out in the park or through windows and walls. I’m not a fan of these people.
When I was on abilify music was dulled most the time, but now and then it sounded epic, like way too much euphoria, but in a good kind of way
I listened to a lot of music especially in my 20s and 30s
After the age of 50 I noticed that I’m listening to music less often
While driving I don’t like the radio on
I cherish peace and quiet as well
