Do you have a hard time reading tone through text?

I feel like it’s hard to tell how someone is trying to talk through text a lot. I was wondering if others here have the same problem??

I also have trouble with tone in person tho lol

I think It would be much easier to tell tone by text, if everybody used proper punctuation as it was intended. Alas, most people do not and are often texting in a hurry, myself included.

Yup, i used to have no problem. Now i csnt “imagine” the tones people use when writing something. I cant even imagine what tone ive used when looking back over something i have written either

Yes. I’m highly sensitive to non-verbal signals. I do not like if I cannot see the person, and feel their tone, their mood.

I think it is a trauma thing too. I am very alert to all sorts of signals. Including my own instinctual responses. I do not like it, if they are missing. And find it hard to read someone then, I can misread text.
