I’m 33, yikes almost wrote 32, I guess I’m forgetting years all the sudden. I’m slightly overweight, by about 40lbs, so I feel older cause my back and joints hurt from the xtra weight.
When did it start?
Are you very overweight?
I have Oa of spine and hands (mild in hands)
I can’t sleep without pretty bad pain on any movement and my back clunks when I twist (not popping, grating several vertebrae)
I’m 42,
My mum has had acute onset age 72 with same ish symptoms at night just a lot more severe
I’m very worried about the future not knowing what pain is to come
Part of me wants to sell, find a smaller place and just have an amazing load of once in a lifetime holidays to make the most of the body I have left
But I’m 13 stone 5’4" and really need to lose weight
I’m 36 but look like I’m 20. Sometimes, I have shortness of breath and so maybe that makes me age slower or something. Mentally, I’m like a teenager but have good morals making me wiser than a much older person.
im 40 and believe im kinda getting old…like in 10 yrs time I’ll deffo be old
I feel young I’m 31
It started when I was about 36 when I slipped two discs in my lower lumbar back area. That’s when the pain started, and then it just progressed from there. It came to a head at age 44 when I could no longer tie my shoes or bend over a sink to wash my face. And yes, at the time, I was severely overweight at 200 lbs and 5’8" tall and female. That’s when I became proactive and decided to do something about the severe pain. I decided to take up hatha yoga. And over a period of approximately one year, the pain in my back was gone, but the weight remained. When I was 55 years old, I went on a calorie reduction diet and lost 53 pounds and have been keeping it off with a calorie tracking app. Last September, I flew to Chicago, IL, for a musicians conference and when I touched down to the ground, the Chicago lakes hit me like a ton of bricks. My arthritis went into acute exacerbation that didn’t let up when I got back home to Omaha, NE. I’m quite a bit better now, as I find that if I lie on my back, instead of my side, at night, I don’t wake up with cricks in my neck anymore, as before. I take Naproxen 500 mg twice a day with food and Tramadol 50 mg four times a day as needed for pain.
I’m not taking the Naproxen right now or the Tramadol either and I am fine. I am only treating my arthritis pain with breathing meditation 15 minutes twice a day and gentle yoga 40-60 minutes every day. Also foam rolling 5-6 times as needed throughout the day works very well. Good luck to you and God bless!
27, feel old in number, but young at heart
I’m 22, feel about 40s, though haha
Perfect recovery really yoga -
i don’t have it in me i got too obsessed with it
i can’t look at yoga as healthy for me any more but i recently started going to body pump classes, a weight a step and lunges etc.
it seems to be challenging - i can’t do all of it
i’m aware i’m the heaviest in the room
I’m aware that i’m pushing myself
I have no idea the last few weeks have had me go from a motivated gym girl to sudden massive pmt alcohol soaked cow
