Positive quotes don’t cheer me up. Usually I think it’s bs.

On the other hand, a good joke can cheer me up.

I have to be honest here.

I’ve read a book of Louise Hay about making positive affirmations in the mirror and stuff like that.

So, I know how the nectar tastes like, but right now I’m going through a down to earth phase.

I like it.

Yes some positive quotes do. Not all. Some are boring

They straight up piss me off.

It seems like every once in awhile you require affirmation for your “meme” thread. The truth is some people like them while others despise them. There are probably some in the middle who couldn’t care less as well.

there positive, not negitive

Yes… @san_pedro, please knock it off. People who like your “memes” will visit your thread. Stop making other threads trying to get more people to like that “meme” thread.

Because the rest of us don’t like them, period. Personally, I think they’re ridiculous and stupid.

When you’re trapped under a tree that fell on you during a windstorm and will die without help, having someone wave and shout, “thoughts and prayers!” as they walk past you isn’t useful. Nor are any of the other positive platitudes are offered instead. Actually being helped out of the bad situation is what cheers up people who are in a pickle.

I like them if someone sends them to me personally, because they saw it and thought of me.

I don’t like the way people seem to think posting them on social media makes them seem deep.

Also, don’t make threads where you ask for people’s opinions if you bash everyone who disagrees with you.
You do this every time.

You’ve done very well on that score. Much better than I’ve done.I’m all too prone to waving the white flag if something doesn’t come easily to me. I’ve actually surprised myself with how I’ve responded to the fall I had. I adopted a much more positive mindset than is usual for me. I think it was driven to some extent by knowing there are those who needed the help more.My eldest granddaughter told me yesterday that given how I’d been she thought I’d be in a wheelchair for life.

Of course that small potatoes compared to what others and you have achieved.
