I believe humans are just evolved animals so if humans have a soul so do animals.
The question should be…do humans have a soul? But then we get into religion and such and this thread gets locked and blah blah blah…

while i want to believe my 2 cats has a soul and rest of animals, my religion doesnt accept that animals have souls.

dont know if catholic church believe the same with orthodox church.

they have consciousness. I don’t know about a soul. But according to michio kaku, even a thermostat has 1 level of concsiousness.
