What do you mean by marrier? Someone who enters into marriage or someone that performs marriages?
I’m not sure even with that knowledge I will get the question and what you mean, but its a start 
I mean that I was very interest in a classmate until another one, I high achiever, demanded my attention and love and got it because of the promise of financial security. I just turned into a gold digger who had no personality. I really never knew the intricacies of mate selection. My parents were mute on the subject.

Well, IMO, compatability is probably more important than either feelings or riches in the long term.
But I’m single, so what do I know. 
If you were ever out of money and relying on unofficial charity, you might think twice about the promise of never going hungry.

Oh, I have known poverty. My solution was to lift myself up out of it even if I had to steer around some damn big roadblocks along the way.
