The Pfizer vaccine is likely to offer strong protection against any severe disease from the new Omicron COVID variant, according to the head of BioNTech who urged people not to ‘freak out’.
I heard a theory on Jeremy Vine today with a guest virologist on the show.
The theory suggested that omicron has reported to have headaches and tiredness as its symptoms only. There seems to be little or no breathing symptoms reported in the young population of South Africa where it originated.
This further suggests that getting omicron could spell the end of covid delta as it replaces this formerly devastating disease with something milder.
It is not known yet, but could this be the end of covid?

I just tested positive using a take home test. I have had some mild symptoms since Monday but actually feel better than when I had my first two Moderna shots. Not due for the third booster until January.
