What about those who refuse meds and are psychotic? They should live off meds?

You’re probably right. Some of them are more f***** up then prison guards

I’ve always felt okay after leaving the hospital. Then I had episodes. Wards are okay I guess I’ve seen a lot.

During my first psychosis I told my mother to bring me to the hospital as I didn’t feel good. Then I was seen there by a pdoc who said I have psychosis. I think earlier diagnosis is better.

the second time i was in the psych ward i came out better for sure… i was doing really badly before i went. First time psych ward didn’t make me better but not worse either.

So true…honestly they process you with no compassion and I respect that because a lot of people are suicidal but I’ve been lied about and falsely hospitalized on no legal grounds so many times. The psych ward has just been traumatizing to me

I have absolutely been helped many times, but many times they failed to make the mark. I could have been almost anywhere but my house for a week and have gotten the same or better results.

But this last time, it really helped and I gained insight into my own illness and something in me changed and now hopefully I won’t need to go back.

Yeah I see psych wards as really expensive hotels. Have definitely been helped, although the stigma of going there is off the charts.
