Hey forum peeps, specifically US guys. I need to buy new shorts because all mine are now too big. But I hate the shorts buying experience because it is so hard to find decent ones. Where do you go to buy nice shorts that last? And what is even in style for men’s shorts nowadays? Cargo shorts are comfy, but the pockets keep snagging on things. Dress shorts usually have a taper leg which doesn’t account for the presence of hips. Gym shorts are not appropriate for many settngs. What is a good style of nice shorts and where can I buy them?

Generally I get just tan khaki shorts. They look good, you dont look like a tactical gamer like with cargo shorts and theyre durable cotton usually
I like to shop at Platos closet their stuff is really cheap and usually good brands/material
if you don’t mind second hand clothing

I don’t know if they’re in style but I really love carpenter jean shorts. Wrangler makes a quality one that Amazon carries, but as a warning they run about one size small.
But carpenter shorts are very versatile and very baggy. Since they’re made for construction they tend to be very rugged and well made. Plus they can be dressed up or down.
Levis makes a decent jean short.
The Wal-Mart brand George has some really nice cargo shorts that are a more modern cut, and have a ten inch inseam. So they typically fall right at the knees, which I love.
George also makes a nice khaki short that would go well with a button down or tropical shirt.

eBay amazon or Walmart online, if you don’t like pockets try Dickies shorts, Dickies run small. Apparently short shorts are the new men’s trend, not for me but wear what you want.

Lol i buy my shorts on ebay, i never buy clothes in store anymore because they way cheaper online, but you have to wait like 3-5 days though buts its worth it, you save couple bucks.
So sue me! They really are comfy.
I’m gonna go smoke a cigar and put on my whale skin slippers.
