It’s all up in the air at this point because now that my dad passed away I don’t know if my step mom is still going to give Christmas cash this year…it’s iffy…I don’t know. It doesn’t matter really if she doesn’t it would be nice but I really don’t expect anything from her. She is a widow now and shouldn’t have to keep up with siblings from my dad’s first marriage…my mom still will give us cash so I am highly anticipating that so we can get a t.v without bugging my mom.

I too usually receive cash. Sometimes it’s a lot. My son’s grandparents both usually remember me. I never expected to stay on their list once my so turned 18, but here he is 21 and they still gift me every year. I feel so lucky to be thought of and appreciate their generosity so much. Their generosity allows me to be generous for Christmas and I really love that.

Is that a US tradition to give cash for Christmas?
I get a little present if I’m lucky!

You could get a tv on payment ? If we buy something expensive we usually do that and then just focus on paying it off.
