Chiropractors hope they are worth the hype

I scheduled my first chiropractor visit in about 8 years. I’ve had good success having adjustments in the past when I injured my wrist and then my knee quite a few years back. Now I’m having horrible hip pain when I run. I’m hoping a chiro adjustment will help.

I haven’t used a chiropractor in years. I actually had a good experience with one who saw me in 2008…i had fallen off my bike and was having pins and needles and numbness in my leg and the chiropractor saw me, he said “I can’t help you, you’ve lost your reflexes and need back surgery”! It’s so rare to find such honesty in healthcare!

I have pain in my hips when i run, too, but it’s from years of weighing 300 lbs. So i mostly walk. I would go see a chiropractor if i could afford it, but my insurance won’t cover them. But i absolutely love how they can make my back pop!

I have high hopes for my visit. First visit is only $29 and every visit thereafter is $55 unless I want to pay $80 per month to be seen once a week. I’m just gonna go for the first appointment and go from there

I wouldn’t waste my money on BS alternative medicines. If it’s a bad enough problem, I’d find an actual back doctor.

This is coming from the grandson of a chiropractor. It’s basically the same as getting a massage. It’s 98 percent BS

Sorry to ruin it for you. I’m just trying to help to be honest

It’s my hip not my back. I’ve had good experiences working with chiropractors in the past. They might be alternative medicine so to speak but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. It’s done wonders for me in the past so I have high hopes it will work for me this time.

I’m just sayin I wouldn’t do it, but it’s your choice, not mine.

If you feel like it helps, more power to ya

Its very addictive, and not good i suppose when you dont find a chiropractors I may try to do it by my self and may be just may be something may go wrong.

Chiropracty is pseudoscience.

You should see an actual doctor; or a physician, or physiotherapist.

Cracking joints cures nothing.

In order for chiropractic to work, in the beginning you need to go 2-3 days per week.

Hopefully it helps your hip. Good luck

Yes I went today. I already feel a lot better. They had a plan for $79 that paid for today’s visit plus 7 more visits within the month. After the first month it gets you 4 visits per month. I plan on canceling the membership after two months or depending on how I feel.

I didn’t want to ruin this thread or any others like it but its hard to not think about that,

One of the reasons a previous thread of mine discussing reiki was shut down was because it was deemed to be against the rules of the forum as it was a pseudoscience, it doesn’t seem fair,

i was made to feel terrible the day before my therapy bc of this. the therapy i received still had a good effect on me and i spoke to my reiki therapist about it & she was very sympathetic/empathetic…

if something is good for you then how can that be bad? that’s what i say.

Do you think chiropractic is good for you? If so then try it out

that was not my point

You should try chiropractic it might help

why should i try a chiropractor?

Im just buggin ya lol i know your peeved about reiki stuff thread. My mom worked at a chiropractor place when i was younger so i went for free a bunch. I cant say if it helped anymore than the reiki guy at the train station

I’m sorry if it bothered you, it just seems like i was singled out, i feel like i have been treated very badly by this forum on occasion, like its targeted. God knows why i get targeted but i don’t want to derail this thread.
