I live on Cape Cod. We have Cod in the supermarkets, but it is not an inexpensive fish.
Our artificial crab is perch, I believe. Actually, I think they make it with whatever they have.

ok thanks…I’m not sure what they told me actually I was guess remembering…whatever fish it is…I love it. love artificial crab meat…used to work in a restaurant that used to put shredded crab meat in the queso…pretty interesting.

Yes, they would make crab from a bland whitefish. That describes cod!

I also just ate chicken alfredo at a restaurant. Either that or try the thanksgiving special which actually sounded not so great. Green beans and cranberry stuff and stuff like that actually doesn’t taste that great.

Cod is wonderful to eat!
Before refrigeration, cod used to be smoked to preserve it. That is wonderful as well.
