Been feeling lightheaded when I stand up

I’m laying on the couch and this past week whenever I get up I feel like I’m going to pass out.
ChatGPT says it could be the Mounjaro causing low blood pressure thus causing me to feel like fainting. Anyone else have this problem?

I was on blood pressure meds when I weighed more and my blood pressure dropped with my weight. I had to discontinue the blood pressure meds because now it is normal without them. With them it was dangerously low. Could that be the case for you?

Sometimes when Im working, I stand up quickly from kneeling and get dizzy for a bit. Probably not exactly the same but I do occasionally have this happen.

Same thing happens to me when I’m in bed, when someone knocks on my door I really have to take my time standing up and adopt a sitting position before standing fully. It’s the only way I found how to fight it, sit down on the frame of the bed before standing up! :head_shaking_vertically: :cat_with_wry_smile:

I have this happen sometimes, too. When i used to be on quetiapine i would literally pass out when standing up from a sitting position. It’s called orthostatic hypotension. You just need to stand up slower. But, yeah, it could be the Mounjaro or any of your psych meds.

Yeah, that’s what ChatGPT recommended.

It’s possible. I’ve lost a lot of weight in the last 6 months.

This happened to me once on Seroquel.

It’s probably not directly the Mounjaro but could be the weight loss.
Get up slow then sit up for a while before standing.
This has happened to me before in the past

My diabetes doctor called today and she told me to skip a week of mounjaro and discontinue my blood pressure medication. I told her about you and your situation and she probably partly based her advice on what I told her about you. I had my blood pressure taken today at my clinic and it was 117/80. That worries me because whenever I get my blood pressure taken at this clinic it is regularly 25-35 over what it is when my PCP takes it. So I’m thinking the 117 reading was wrong and it was much lower than that.

A lof of pharmacies have those free machines for checking your blood pressure. They are very accurate and print out a receipt you can save for your doc.
