The painting isn’t complete and I need to fire and paint the board. But I like my progress. I’m getting the hang of oils slowly

The assignment is to make a still life of something meaningful to you. So I made a spirit board and making a cauldron, a wand, and a pendulum to go with it plus some crystals

oooh thats awesome!! I imagine using clay would be a good way to put your energy in the art. I love clay and working with it has been awhile…I took an art class once and the teacher was really annoying, so I went off on my own in the corner of the class and took used the wheel to make a pineapple vase, that he was able to glaze in the kiln he made out of stone…was so fun!!
I feel like making something with clay now…my great grandma made everything with clay that was prob. found in the mountains. homemade and she baked bowls, made all sorts of things–she really knew what she was doin I think she practiced appalachian rootwork but I dont knw, i guess it was more common like jarring homemade jams and she had a dreamcatcher seashell collections
I thnk my great grandpa who went missing was a cherokee and that may explain some of it too…
