Adjunctive aripiprazole can help diminish sexual dysfunction and other side effects in premenopausal women taking antipsychotics, according to a study presented at the International Congress on Schizophrenia Research (ICOSR) in San Diego in March. The findings of the study suggest aripiprazole works by driving down elevated levels of the hormone prolactin.
