Well, the in-laws just @#$%ed up Christmas YET AGAIN. My MIL was supposed to be released from the hospital on Dec 27 as she can’t care for herself. My BIL is springing her tomorrow afternoon and then leaving in the evening to visit his daughter for Christmas Day. MIL can’t be left on her own, so my wife and daughter have to rush down. I need to stay within a certain EMS response time so I’m stuck at home alone on Xmas Day now.
@#$%ing in-laws. If I remarry it will be a goddamned orphan.

I probably won’t be traveling far. Maybe 15 miles to my sister’s house. Don’t even want to go that far if we get those high winds.

MIL is a hoarder. My wife will need help making pathways for wheelchair. She has spinal degeneration from arthritis and can only do so much bending and lifting.

Love the pics @shutterbug. We don’t have a single decoration out. I told my kids that I’d be putting their stocking stuff in grocery bags and hanging those from the mantle. They thought I was joking, but I was not. I am not going into the attic to get down stockings… Covid kind of killed our decorating plans this year. We can’t even do a cookie bake day on Christmas Eve because of the darned 'vid. But we have lots of other food and pies. It’ll mostly be me, my youngest, and our pup, cuddled on the couch watching movies.
Edited to add: I got distracted! Technically, if I go to any of the convenience stores near me, I’m out of town. Small towns, all squished together.
