Are you an introvert or extrovert and which is more predictive of schizophrenia?

I am curious…

I’m about as introverted as you can get. And I married another introvert. And I gave birth to an introvert. And all my best friends, as an adult, have been introverts. And I don’t know what is more predictive of sz.

Introvert here, I go to work but that’s about it and my job I work alone to, so alone 99% of the time

I am probably introverted but I’m not the most introverted person in the world. I am extroverted in certain scenarios. Like I am great for giving speeches and stuff like that in front of a crowd, in that sense I’m extroverted, but in the sense of me being IN the crowd, I will be introverted. If given the attention I am an extrovert I guess.

I’m very introverted my hubby calls me a scaredy cat sometimes. Not very good with socialising. Very awkward except with closest loved ones.

Introverted unless I’m manic/hypomanic then look out world

I am introverted but not completely.
I need some social interaction every day.

Same here …

Before I went to my first mental hospital I thought all mentally ill people were quiet and introverted like me, but when I got there I saw that they had all kinds of personality types. I don’t think schizophrenia is particular to personality types.

Very introverted until about the age of 45, when I awoke from my life into a very odd mix of “I don’t give a fat ass poop about who thinks what.” and “It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to get permission.”

Ah the perks of getting old-I love it!

introvert of course, social isolation is often associated with and is one of the earliest symptoms of sz.

But is the social isolation always self induced, or can it be forced upon someone and then once accepted always lead to Sz?

I think self induced.

I am very much an introvert .
