Apophenia, or patternicity, is characterized by seeing patterns in unrelated things. Anyone can experience this, but if you live with schizophrenia, it may be part of a delusion.
Yep this is what I’ve been getting regularly recently.
I hope it is not a sign of beginning of symptoms since I did not have this as much before
This happens to me a lot. Thanks for the imfo @everhopeful.
I don’t know about where’s it happening to me, but the article is great!
I just spotted one thing, as a therapy is suggested cbd, while no one this days is doing psychoanalisys… Like Jung did, as mentioned in synchronicity…
Thanks @everhopeful…
I’m pretty good at recognizing patterns in things but I don’t think it is pathological.
To give a simple example if I give you the sequence: 2 4 6 8 the next number is obviously 10, the pattern is it is increasing by 2. That is a simple example of the types of patterns I notice, but I notice patterns in things other than just math or numbers.
I don’t think I really experience Apophenia all that often (This is the first I am hearing of it) although I have seen clouds that look like things. I never had any pattern related delusions when I was psychotic.
