First off, yes I will be talking to my doctor about this. Ever since so got on some new meds, I can’t sit still. I feel like a toddler. I’m constantly pacing, constantly fidgeting. I can’t sit still for almost any period. I canMt even sit through a two hour film. It’s so frustrating.
Anyone else experienced something like this? I feel like I have to constantly be doing something.
I’ve had akathisia before on zyprexa. It was when I started the drug. I think it took a month for it to go away. It’s not a good feeling. Maybe it will go away for you too. If not, ask your doc about some pills against akathisia.
Abilify has caused me to feel an inner restlessness, like I needed to be moving. My doctor prescribed Cogentin which I recently started using.
Abilify makes me restless. It could be that.
Yes I did. But I took 3 mg of Cogentin and it was gone. I took 2 mg at night and 1 mg in the morning. I don’t need it now that I’m on asenapine but I needed it long term on a few other APs. Worked like a charm.
The akatesia I got from Risperidone which was the only antipsychotics that ever caused that and then It was swapped with Clopixol. It has never happened ever since.
