A lot of SCZ have out of body experiences, 42% compared to 13% controls

Proprioception is our sense of where we are in space. It’s connected to the vestibular system. It’s just like the other five senses.

The next 2 articles show that the vestibular system is different in SCZ. So, my unusual belief is that an SCZ out-of-body experience is just a Proprioception hallucination.

A Proprioception hallucination is like an auditory or visual hallucination but with the sense of where we are in space.
