A reason for the Vietnam conflict

The Orient has always known more about drugs than the Western world ever did and I think our intervention in Vietnam gave us quite an education. Medication for the mentally ill started to take giant leaps of progress about then. So, if any good can be said about that war, it is that we learned so much and it eased a great deal of suffering. Institutionalization isn’t nearly as needed as it was in the '60s.
