Hello mates.
I managed to at least attract a positive job for me in terms of my thoughts.
But, it is completely unworkable for me in actual terms.
I think that jobs should be cancelled, as of now I would work as a lecturer/researcher if I could.
I would work AT A UNIVERSITY but in parallel I would try to use my influence in Israel to hasten technological progress
and the incorporation of artificial intelligence to replace jobs where possible.
Erez, you’d likely need to get a graduate degree to teach at university. Maybe try taking some mathematics courses at university and see how you do. You could also try online courses. Good luck!
I admire mathematics because it either works or it doesn’t: There’s very little in math that is theoretical.
I do love theory, but the education system seems to take incorrect theory and sit on it. Any theory that doesn’t fit their teachings gets kicked out.
consider me +1 for electric universe, and -1 for particles.
Maybe the mathematicians will come to the rescue?
Consider taking a free online math course or two.
If you’re able to do it, you can take courses for credit at a community college (do they have those in Israel?) and eventually transfer to a university.
MIT offers lots of free mathematics courses online.
thanks @twinklestars.
My situation is very difficult.
I try to survive , and if possible improve my health.
I endure serious difficulties on most days.
I have health problems that may prevent me from functioning.
As the world is today, it’s reasonable to get a job at a university.
But my functioning is so low.
I think that I should complain, because complaining may lead to a cure to my problems.
I am prepared for the bad case, but hope for better.
I want society to change for the better,
and it will probably take place gradually.
U can do it my love…
Erez,
You can take all kinds of courses here for free:
I’m currently taking a free course on sound engineering for fun. I won’t get a degree out of this, but I will wind up with useful knowledge. Something to look into?
This is one of the courses I completed and it was very helpful to me:
Goodness, knowledge is wonderful! I went the “official” route and spent $78000 to go back to school and finish my Bachelor’s then Master’s degree. And I decompensated twice in 5 months at my first real job cuz I couldn’t deal with the people. Lost the job but not the debt. If you just love learning, take some free courses online or consider auditing some courses at University. Auditing is nice cuz it gets you in the classroom and around other people who don’t realize you aren’t getting a grade. It’s good practice for getting an idea how you will do in the “real” stress of school and the people there.
