Idk much about mGlur receptors but I read they’re involved in brain development. I hope its not too late to fix it.

Study; “These findings support the use of group I mGluR antagonists as a potential therapy that extends to autism models involving exacerbated mRNA translation initiation.”

Excessive mGluR1 & mGluR5 are linked to ASD. This new mGluR based treatment for SCZ therefore might have unattended long term side effects. Who knows . . .

I read about how the mglur5 receptor being enhanced indirectly affects the nmdar receptor. I think similar to how sarcosine would affect it.

There’s a racetam nootropic called fasoracetam that is a mglur non selective agonist. It’s an unregulated supplement so it would be tough to know if it was quality.
