A Poem: Wish

Do you ever wish you had dignity,
Like taking care of your appearance,
Having the respect of others,
Ah, life’s too short who has the time.

I am the laughing stock of my village. Have no respect.

That’s probably not true, but I think the disease does distort our perception of ourselves.

Dignity is too close to being pride. But I don’t like being humiliated either.

No it’s true. My friend used to work in the village pub. He overheard all kind of bad things being spoken about me by the locals.
