It is peaceful here, especially where I live, far from the world’s main centers. Finland is a peaceful country.

I would like to live somewhere like that. I find life difficult here as the pressures and expense of living where I live grinds me down till I can’t cope.
Might move to Northern England, as at least there I could drastically reduce my expenses and financial pressures.
Living close to London is not easy as it drives prices up here

I think that prices are always higher near or in main population centers. Helsinki is more expensive than the place where I live.

What I find here is people sell up in London when they retire, and then get a place here (At the seaside) and they drive up the demand and living costs for locals.
See it a lot with people wanting landscaping done, as the amount of money they free up coming here does mean they spend on that kinda thing.
I just looked at a house 400 miles north, and it has 3 bedrooms and a massive garden for £140k. My 1 bed flat here was £161k. Nuts.

i think i read about finland once, that everybody serves in the military when they are young? is that true? and were you in the service?

All males complete their mandatory military service. Females may volunteer to serve their military service. I am Corporal and a scribe.
