I gave birth to my first child. I was as anxious as I’ve ever been. Didn’t know how to hold her or change her diaper. Didn’t know how I would get through that first fever or ear infection. But on our own we found our way and we became bonded together. Fast forward 21 years and not a day goes by that I don’t talk to her. I can’t imagine what life would be if I wasn’t blessed with this tough, funny, inspirational girl that has brought so much joy to me. Happy Birthday. I can’t believe I’ve been a mom for 21 years.

Happy birthday to your daughter! I remember that with mine. She’s 19 now. I’m so proud of who she’s become. I’m sure you feel the same way.

Actually I offered to treat her to a night out at the local casino and she said she wanted to have a hot chocolate with her daughter and to go look at Christmas lights for her Birthday with the family. So she really surprised me with that one. I thought she would be like wanting to party but she said the her family time sounded like more fun.
